Interesting facts

Why do we sweat?

Sweating excessively affects some people in everyday life. The embarrassing situations caused by the unwanted sweating are unavoidable. Most of those affected therefore suffer greatly from the sweat stains and the smell of sweat

We have therefore dealt with the topics of sweating, hyperhidrosis (heavy sweating) and body odor in order to provide our customers and readers with important information.

The sweat

Sweat consists of 99% water, plus a minimal salt content. People sweat when sweat is secreted from the special sweat glands of the skin. Humans have several million sweat glands distributed over the entire surface of the body.

The process of sweating is therefore the most natural thing in the world and a vital mechanism.

Eliminate, detoxify, cool, protect -
The hidden superpowers

Body regulation

Our sweat performs an important task, it is responsible for cooling our body. During physical activity or when the outside temperature is high, our body temperature rises, sweat is responsible for body regulation. If we did not have the process of sweating, our body would overheat.

Transportation

Our sweat transports metabolic end products such as alcohol, bacteria pathogens and other toxins out of our body via the sweat glands and thus offers them no chance of survival in the body. The process of sweating therefore serves as an elimination mechanism.

Protection

Our sweat has a pH value of 4.5 and is therefore acidic. Through this function, sweat serves as a protective acid mantle for the skin and prevents bacteria and other toxins from entering the body through the skin. Harmful bacteria cannot survive or multiply in an acidic environment.
